Enjoying the benefits of new cutting edge machinery
In the early months of 2018 we took a deep breath and invested £100,000 in upgrading our equipment and manufacturing processes, and we’re delighted with the difference it has made for our clients and our own job satisfaction. It has also opened doors for exciting new relationships with architects and property developers.
Introducing Belgian made Vertongen machinery alongside global leader SCM’s woodworking and panel processing equipment from Italy means we are now at the forefront of bespoke window and door manufacturing in the north of England.
With faster lead times and greater precision of design and replication of new styles, we are now able to cope with more volume of business and bigger contracts than ever before in our 30 year history. Employee productivity has been increased and we’ve actually gained more space in the workshop as the more advanced equipment is more streamlined!
Consistency in the replication of complicated designs has transformed the production of popular window and door designs plus the new machinery handles higher levels of tolerance for non-standard designs, which is great news for our bespoke heritage and conservation clients.
The knock on effect throughout our 16 strong team has been amazing. Delivering quality joinery has always been our ethos, which sometimes lost us business on slow lead times, but now we can offer clients the best timber work in a much shorter timescale.
