Here is how to build an orangery the David H. Wright way. Our step-by-step guide will show you what to expect once your project has commenced. With over three decades of experience designing, handcrafting, and installing bespoke timber orangeries and wooden conservatories, we know the orangery installation process well, so please read on.
However, if you’re still uncertain about your orangery design or planning options, look at our previous blog on Orangery Planning Permissions – Rules And Regulations.
Now, moving on—below is a real example of a recent orangery we designed, manufactured, and installed with care. This should give you a good idea of how to build an orangery once you have your design.
STEP 1: DESIGN & MANUFACTURE
Following an approved design, we handcraft, prepaint, pre-finish, and preassemble your orangery at our workshop and then transport it to you.
STEP 2: STRUCTURAL:
We complete construction and then fit the prepainted, prefinished, and preassembled frames and structural supports, as well as the prepainted, prefinished, and preassembled windows.
STEP 3: WINDOWS & WALLS
We fit the prepainted, prefinished and preassembled the orangery windows.
STEP 4: DOORS & LANTERNS
We fit the prepainted, prefinished and preassembled doors and roof lanterns.
Once complete, our tidy-up and final finishes commence.
