At David H Wright the quality of our work is paramount and our strong belief in craftsmanship has enabled our experienced and qualified joiners to couple their extensive knowledge with cutting edge methods to craft and create some beautiful orangeries.

You might wonder what the difference is between a conservatory and an orangery. Orangeries are traditionally created with less glazing than a typical conservatory, usually less than 75%. Another large difference is that for an orangery, proper planning consent is required before construction can take place. Luckily, we are used to liaising with a wide range of reputable architects and we can happily recommend a specialist team for the job, depending on the project you are hoping to undertake.

If you prefer the idea of having an orangery installed in your home, then we can offer a bespoke service for this also. We can look after the whole design and construction of your orangery, with a more solid base to support the roof, all carefully and lovingly made by our skilled craftsmen. It is also important to make sure that the final design blends seamlessly and easily with the original building, therefore we give every consideration to matching the materials used to your existing structure so that when your orangery is completed, it will feel new and exciting, but also that it has always been a natural part of your home. Each orangery we create benefits from sustainable hardwoods, which are treated and pre-finished with Teknos microporous paint, and a wide range of colour choice is available for you to choose from in British Standard Colours.

Orangery roofing

Like our conservatories, our orangery roofing also benefits from the inclusion of aluminium powder coated capping and roof vents, making it virtually maintenance free. We understand at David H Wright, that none of our customers want the upkeep and hassle of managing their orangery roof on a constant basis.

When we design your orangery, we will make sure that it is maintenance free. The use of aluminium powder coated capping and roof vents means that the roof of your orangery will look after itself as the years go by, allowing you to simply enjoy the room with your family and friends.

Orangery bases

Traditionally, orangeries have always been designed using a lot more brickwork in the base than the typical conservatory. Due to this consideration, we always make sure that the design and planning phases for the base of your orangery are carefully thought through and organised.

We ensure the correct materials are used and that all bases are carefully matched to the existing building in stone, brick or render. This will mean that your orangery will merge with your original property with ease and style, allowing you to enjoy this new room in your home as though it has always been there.
