Explore our recent project, which saw us restore degraded UPVC windows with wooden windows in Yorkshire, returning a home with a listed building status back to its original character. This was another meticulously planned, handcrafted, and installed project completed by our craftsmen of distinction. We assisted with the listed building consent before entirely replacing the bay window and completing the restoration, transforming an unsuited UPVC frame to a wooden one with a classic casement-style window in keeping with the property’s era.
The replacement casement windows were styled like their original frames. Double glazing can sometimes be challenging in listed homes, but consent was easily granted due to the existing double glazing in situ. Therefore, we optimised this home’s energy efficiency with improved premium double glazing and perfect-fit bespoke timber frames crafted with 50-year guaranteed durable Accoya wood. Now, these listed windows look bright and fresh again- a low-maintenance, proud, revived exterior for this home for decades to follow.
