Victorian conservatories are classical yet contemporary roof conservatories with a distinguished steep-pitched roof. If you are looking for space, then these are ideal. Designed to be larger and often with bay-window style design, they can be finished using any style of window or door, such as sash, casement, patio or bi-fold, and maximise living space. Versatile and beautifully suited to extend both modern and traditional homes, Victorian-styled conservatories can be fabricated with full-glass ornate-ridged roofs or tiled roofing. They possess a lower brick-wall feature, similar to an orangery, around the lower circumference of the sunroom.
Our client wished to modernise and renew their old dark conservatory, with fussy windows blocking their view and sunlight. Using their existing base, we changed the conservatory windows to larger single panels using a combination of fixed and tilt-opening casement windows. To improve energy efficiency, the new frames were custom-made to be flush, and the glazing was upgraded with thermally efficient glass. We created a new single patio door that now opens outward rather than inward for enhanced functionality and internal space.
To complement the renewal and renovation of this home, we not only designed, manufactured, and installed a new, lighter, and brighter painted wooden conservatory, we also upgraded the windows throughout. The result is a contemporary, renewed home with softer, creamier frames.
